Horticultural Society’s Main Show

The wet weather in July and the past few weeks means that we can confidently host our Main Show this year! You may recall that the Society took the difficult decision to cancel last year’s show due to drought conditions and the hosepipe ban. We do hope that many of you will find some lovely specimens in your garden including dahlias, fuchsia, hydrangea, gladioli. Or perhaps growing vegetables and fruit are your speciality then bring along your prized marrows, beans, beetroot, or apples. There are numerous categories to choose from so please have a go!
You can find the classes online under Shows on our website or pick up a programme at the Dunsfold Village Shop. You can collect an entry form from the Dunsfold Village Shop, enter online via the website here or download the attached form below. It couldn't be easier! If you have any questions please email to showsdhhs@gmail.com. Entries are due by Friday 8 September no later than 5pm. Staging takes place either Saturday evening from 7-8pm (by prior arrangement) or Sunday morning from 8-10am.
Non-members are welcome to enter so if you know any keen gardeners that might like to join us, please share these details. And we would love some children to enter. Do you know any families with small children or grandchildren that might like to enter?
Please note that the Main Show is on a SUNDAY this year – Sunday 10 September. Do stop by Sunday afternoon to view the entries, have a slice of cake and cuppa and watch the prize giving. Doors open to the public at 2pm with Awards at 3.30pm. Even if you don't exhibit we would love your support!
