Call for Seedlings and Plants

Can you help with plants for our stall at the Dunsfold Village Fete?

February and March is when seed sowing begins in earnest, particularly for plants like tomatoes, aubergine, peppers and chillis, which all need more time to get a head start. Sunny windowsills are great spots to place a few seed trays to get you started and if you are lucky enough to have a greenhouse with a heater, the possibilities are endless.

The Horticultural Society would be grateful if you sowed a few extra seeds for our annual plant sale. Once again, we will be back at the Dunsfold Fete on Saturday 9 May hopefully with an abundance of vegetable and cut flower seedlings as well as plant divisions. You will find a rich array of plants and some good bargains. Please remember that plant divisions are also very much in demand – your garden extras can become someone else’s prized plant.
